Baby Shower Planning Advice
If you already know the gender of the child, then it will be easy to choose a color scheme. A traditional pink for girls or blue for boys, but if the parents are keeping it a surprise, then it is best to choose something neutral, like pale green or yellow. Do not mix pink and blue, as that is confusing and sends mixed signals, instead choose something neutral. You can even choose lavender or the color that is most preferred by the mother of the baby, as well.
The first thing you have to decide is whether it will be an all encompassing party for the mother and the father or if it will just be for the mother and her female friends and relatives. Once you determine that, it will be easier to plan and you can also decide if you want it to be a surprise for the mother or if you want her to know about it in advance. This will all depend on the mother’s preference, some people hate surprises while others are touched by them. So, knowing the mother, you will be able to make the call. Next, decide if it will be casual and fun, where you can serve finger food and sodas or if it will be a sit down formal event with a full course meal and elegant attire.
